On receiving the STB package please follow the instructions on the manual in the package summarized below:
- Connect cables correctly
- Switch on the device
- Choose the language
- Choose internet connection (Wi-Fi or cable)
- Enter your personal account details and password received previously through SMS
- Enter a new password to use thereafter
- Choose family control level

Set top box replacement can be picked up from any Awasr outlet. Customer must contact Customer Care or the Awasr outlet first to check availability. Then he can bring the faulty set top box for replacement. The set top box will be replaced free of charge only once during the warranty period after which a replace charge of OMR 30 will apply.
In case of theft a copy of the police complaint must be produced
The customer can contact Awasr’s customer care desk on 80001000 or any Awasr outlet to check availability of spares such as a remote control or power cable.
If available, the replacement spare can be picked up from the Awasr outlet after filling the prescribed Spare replacement form and the payment of OMR 5 for the spare remote control or cable

Terms & Conditions
The Jawwy TV Set Top Box enables Awasr Fibernet broadband residential customers to access Jawwy TV digital TV content that includes free-to-air and encrypted TV channels as well as video on demand content, in addition to other content or services that may be added from time to time.
Importance of these terms and conditions
These terms and conditions are important. Please read them carefully.
Commencement of Agreement and Term
You are legally bound by the terms of this agreement ("Agreement") from the time when you place an order or accept delivery of the Set Top Box (where you have not placed any previous order).
Conditions of Availability
A Set Top Box for Jawwy TV will only be provided to you if you subscribe to a residential Fibrenet broadband service with a qualifying speed, on condition that you are committed to take a minimum subscription of 12 months from the date of delivery of your Set Top Box for that Fibrenet service, either as a new Fibrenet service subscription, or as an extension of your existing Fibrenet service subscription. You will be able to access Jawwy TV digital content from the time of delivery of your Set Top Box. You will only be allowed one Set Top Box for each qualifying residential Fibrenet broadband subscription.
The service will be provided without charge if you are subscribed to any of the Fibrenet broadband packages ie Plus, Ultra & Giga, or as an add on to the Basic package. If you are subscribed to Awasr's Fibrenet Basic package (20Mbps) you will be charged OMR 7 for the service
You may upgrade your Fibernet broadband package to a higher speed at any time during your minimum subscription period without additional charge in relation the Set Top Box, but if you reduce your broadband speed to Awasr's Basic Fibrenet broadband package, your Jawwy TV service will still be available, and will be chargeable at a monthly subscription charge of OMR 7 If you decide to not continue with the Jawwy TV service, and you are within the minimum subscription period of 12 months, you will be subject to a one-off deactivation charge of OMR 30 in relation to your Set Top Box .
All customers with a Set Top Box will also have to pay a one off deactivation charge of OMR 30 in relation to their Set Top Box if their Fibrenet broadband service is cancelled or terminates prior to the end of the minimum subscription period for their Fibrenet broadband service, or the Jawwy TV add on (Basic package).
Deactivation and Suspension of Activation
Access to Jawwy TV Content using your Set Top Box will be discontinued if you cease to have a Fibrenet broadband service and may be discontinued if Awasr reasonably believe that you are using the service in a way that does not comply with these service terms. Further, such access may be suspended if you are subject to a charge for obtaining your Set Top Box and fail to make any payment on time.
Theft or Loss of Set Top Box
You must report to us if a Set Top Box is lost or stolen, so that it can be deactivated, and you will then have to purchase a replacement Set Top Box, and in case of theft you will have to provide evidence such as a police report or we may refuse to supply you with a new Set Top Box
Use of your Awasr ID
You will need an Awasr ID in order to activate your Set Top Box. You must keep your Awasr ID username and password confidential and secure and not disclose them to any third party. You will be responsible for all consequences that result from the use of your Awasr ID username and password by third parties.
If you know or suspect that your Awasr ID username or password have been disclosed to or obtained by a third party, you must tell us immediately, and ensure that your Awasr ID password is changed as soon as possible.
If Awasr reasonably believe that your Awasr ID username or password have been disclosed to a third party, we may suspend your ability to log in using your Awasr ID until you change the password.
You must connect the Set Top Box to Awasr’s Fibernet Optical Network Terminal and only use the Set Top Box with your Awasr Fibrenet service.
You may not allow the Set Top Box to be used, either for accessing content or recordings made with it, anywhere else than at the residential address for which your Awasr Fibrenet service is registered.
You must not:
- make recordings of any content provided via the service other than with the Set Top Box;
- reproduce any recording made using the Set Top Box other than with the Set Top Box;
- distribute or re-broadcast any content accessed through or recordings made on your Set Top Box;
- display any content in retail, business or commercial premises or for any business or commercial purpose;
- sublicense, transfer or assign any content to any third party;
- edit, modify, translate or create derivative works or adaptions of any content; or
- otherwise use any content or any portion thereof except as set out in this Agreement.
Controls on Access to Content
Some content may not be suitable for viewing or use by persons of all ages. For this reason, it is your responsibility to ensure that the content viewed or used is suitable for those viewing or using it (including children), and for setting up and maintaining parental controls or any other controls that are available on your Set Top Box relating to content access.
Changes to Set Top Box and Content
Awasr may upgrade or replace all or some of the software on your Set Top Box at any time.
Our Set Top Box will provide a wide range of content via TV channels and video on demand, but we may change or withdraw content from time to time or it may become unavailable. Awasr will not be liable for, nor will you be entitled to any refund, nor will you have any right not to make any payment due from you, if any specific channel, on demand or other content is withdrawn or becomes unavailable as part of the service. We will try to tell you in advance where we are aware that content will be withdrawn or become unavailable, but we may not be able to do so in all cases.
If Awasr plan to charge for any content we will tell you in advance and you will need to tell us that you want to continue to have access to that content.
Accuracy of Information
The accuracy and completeness of the information provided as part of Jawwy TV content including the Electronic Programme Guide is not guaranteed.
Limitation of Liability
To the greatest extent permitted by law we exclude any liability of any kind (whether in contract, tort, equity or otherwise) to you or anyone claiming through you, relating to any loss of profits or revenue, loss of data, lost business or missed opportunities, wasted expenditure or savings you might have had, or any form of indirect or consequential loss whatsoever.
Your interests in this agreement are personal to you and you may not transfer or on-sell the Agreement or any benefit or obligation under it to another person without our consent.
Notices and Variations of Charges, Pricing Plans and Terms & Conditions
We may change this Agreement at any time, and you will be legally bound by these changes. Changes will be posted on our website. Please check this regularly for updates.
THE LATEST COPY OF OUR TERMS AND CONDITION CAN BE FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE
We shall be entitled to subcontract or delegate the performance of any of our rights or obligations under this Agreement but any such subcontracting or delegation will not relieve us from liability for performance of any such obligation.
